The Publican has teamed up with Magners Irish Cider in a national hunt for the best pub comedy in the UK.
Hundreds of pubs have entered their comedy nights into the competition. The shortlisting has now taken place and The Publican is delighted to announce that the following pubs have made it into the national final:

Each pub has nominated a comedian to represent them in the competition. All the comedians and their pubs will be taking part in the Nation Final to be held at Jongleurs Comedy Club on Tuesday 14th October. And you can be their too. Prizes for the pub
- The winning pub will see a top comedian perform in their pub. The exact comedian will depend on your location and can be on the date of your choice.
- The Magners Pub Comedy Awards will present the winning pub with an outdoor plaque commemorating their achievement.
- The runner up receives stock of Magners Irish Cider and a door plaque.
- All finalists receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement
Prizes for the comedian
- The winner will receive an all expenses paid trip to Glasgow and the opportunity to appear at the Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival
- The winner will also have the opportunity to perform at Jongleurs.
- The runner up receives a trophy and two tickets to the Glasgow Comedy Festival
- All finalists receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement
